For over 10 years, Nine Britton® has been crafting beautiful, sophisticated clothing for modern women. Our goal is to create timeless, versatile pieces that make women feel confident and elegant.
Our Story
Nine Britton® was founded in 2011 by sisters Claire and Eva Bennett. The two share a lifelong passion for fashion and a flair for creating chic, feminine clothing.
As young girls, Claire and Eva were always raiding their mother’s closet to play dress-up. They adored mixing and matching pieces to create unique looks. As they got older, both sisters developed their own fashion sense – Claire loved vintage silhouettes and feminine details like ruffles and bows, while Eva preferred sleek, tailored pieces in rich fabrics.
Though their tastes differed, the sisters shared a vision to create a clothing line that captured both of their aesthetics. After studying fashion design in college, Claire and Eva pooled their savings and launched Nine Britton® out of their Brooklyn apartment.
They started small, selling their collections online and at local boutiques. But the response was immediate – women loved the romantic femininity of Claire’s designs paired with the sharp sophistication of Eva’s. Within a few seasons, the sisters were selling nationwide and attracting attention from major department stores.
Our Design Philosophy
The contrasting aesthetics of Claire and Eva are at the core of the Nine Britton® design philosophy. Our collections bring together Claire’s feminine details with Eva’s bold, tailored silhouettes into pieces that are soft yet strong, romantic yet refined.
We believe that clothes should make you feel beautiful, confident, and unique. Our goal with every design is to create pieces that capture a woman’s personal style. We love playing with unique details like smocking, ruffles, eyelet lace, scalloped hems, and popping colors. Many of our pieces feature elegant embellishments that make them special – a knot detail on a blouse, a sash tie on a dress, a sweetheart neckline with a twist. These small touches elevate simple silhouettes into statement pieces.
At the same time, we focus on flattering fits and high quality fabrics so our clothes are genuinely comfortable and durable. Nine Britton® pieces are designed to last for many seasons as timeless additions to your wardrobe.
We love juxtaposing soft and structured elements – a flowing maxi skirt with a tailored blazer, a smocked peasant top with sleek trousers. This play on contrasts embodies the duality of beauty and strength that every woman possesses.
Our Fabrics & Sustainability
We select our fabrics carefully to ensure exceptional quality and comfort. Many of our pieces are made from natural fibers like cotton, linen, and silk that feel luxurious against the skin.
Sustainability is important to us, so we source high quality recycled fabrics whenever possible. We also aim to create durable pieces that will stay in your closet for years to come. Much of our collection is proudly made in the USA to reduce our environmental impact.
Some signature Nine Britton® fabrics include:
- Brushed knits – Soft, cozy cotton/poly knits with a brushed finish. They have a casual, lived-in feel that gets even softer over time. Brushed knits come in both solid colors and fun prints.
- Eyelet lace – Delicate yet durable lace with beautiful openwork details. It gives pieces romantic flair and breathability. We love it for both tops and dresses.
- Silk blends – Lightweight silk-cotton blends that feel luxurious on. The silk gives them a subtly lustrous look and luxe drape.
- Stretch ponte – Ponte knit has a smooth, substantial hand and stretches comfortably over the body. It maintains structure beautifully in fitted silhouettes.
- Denim – High quality cotton denim conforms to the body and has the perfect amount of stretch. Our denim comes in classic blues as well as seasonal colors.
- Linen – Breathable linen has a relaxed drape and gets softer over time. It’s perfect for effortless peasant tops and maxi dresses.

Dresses
Our dresses come in a variety of silhouettes to flatter every figure. Flowy maxi dresses, curve-hugging sheath dresses, TWirl-worthy fit and flare dresses, smocked peasant styles and more.
We love unique details like flutter sleeves, off the shoulder necklines, ruffled hems, tie belts, eyelet lace and vibrant patterns. Dresses are available in both solids and prints ranging from subtle stripes to bold florals. Materials include airy linens, soft brushed knits and silky jersey.
Tops
Nine Britton® blouses and knit tops range from tailored button-ups perfect for work, to drapey peasant tops ideal for weekends. Silhouettes include tie-neck blouses, surplice wrap tops, embroidered peasant styles, flowing kimonos and more.
Luxurious materials like washed silks and lightweight linens combine with artisanal details like knot accents, keyhole cutouts, puff sleeves, ladder stitching and tassel ties. Tops come in muted solids as well as vibrant patterns.
Jumpsuits & Rompers
Our feminine jumpsuits and rompers are perfect for making a statement. Great for work, parties or weekends, they have a playful vibe while still being chic and sophisticated.
Silhouettes include sleeveless halter neck jumpsuits and strappy rompers. Billowy wide legs, smocked waists, and split necklines keep these pieces effortless and breezy. Materials range from sleek jerseys to lightweight linens.
Bottoms
The Nine Britton® bottoms collection includes both tailored and relaxed silhouettes. High-waisted, wide-leg trousers have a vintage sophistication, while stretch skinny ankle pants are perfect for work. Flowy palazzo pants, soft linen culottes, and flutter shorts have a carefree vibe perfect for weekends.
Outerwear
Complete your look with our stylish outerwear pieces. Sophisticated blazers, cozy dusters and kimono jackets, wool coats and moto jackets. Silhouettes range from structured to flowing. They layer effortlessly over both dresses and separates.
Materials include brushed wool, tweed, genuine leather and cozy brushed knits. Details like fringe trim, shearling lining and a belted waist add modern flair.
